The stone and wooden church general view
The first documents about the village date from 1424. The wooden church dedicated to the Holy Archangels was built at the beginning of the 18th century.
Nowadays the walls, the porch and the apse are pentagonal. The wooden structure is plastered and painted.
The tall roof is built with two tiers both covered with shingles. The bell-tower has a wooden board parapet. The boards are fret-sawn at the bottom with geometric patterns. The balcony is enclosed by a palisade of thin wooden boards diagonally, intersected by the eight supporting pillars. On top of the roof there is a square spire that is very flared at its bottom and becomes octagonal at its top. The spire is sharp and is decorated with a two-arm cross.

with longitudinal boards painted in neo-Byzantine style. The scenes are separated with frames. There are fragments of floral friezes. They are adorned with marvelous crowns of sunflowers.
The collection of old icons in heavy frames is exhibited on the parapet of the pronaos. On the vault of the Sanctuary, lighted by rays, the ”Omniscient Eye” is painted on a starry sky. The picture of ”The Crowned Holy Mother” is behind of the Ark. The frames end in a triangle that also contains the “Omniscient Eye”.
The Iconostasis has two rows, grouped around a symbolic central axis. The icons were painted at a later date; the epic stories are at random rather than in biblical order.
Principal icons
The Principal Icons are unquestionably rather special because of their size and colouring. Saint Nicolas is (painted holding a three-coloured flag in his left hand .
The Holy Doors are special; their most commonly used motif is the archaic cross. The scene of Annunciation is framed by squares that become triangles at the top. The Deacon’s doors are decorated with angels faces. One of the angels is playing the tambourine, the other one the trumpet, creating a sacred symbolic atmosphere.
